Are you ready for a new pair of glasses or sunglasses? Take a look in the mirror. If you consider the shape of your face, you could save hours of indecision. Once you judge the features of a round face and your celebrity lookalikes, start with the frames that best suit your face-type and work out from there. Soon enough you’ll be in the Vision Gallery experimenting with proportion and contrast to find your perfect fit!

A wide forehead, full cheeks and a rounded chin are the distinguishing proportions of a round face. Since the overall smoothness of the features can blend together, it can be challenging to find a good eyewear match.

Some celebrity round faces are:

  • Adele
  • Leonardo DiCaprio
  • Christina Ricci
  • Kanye West

  • Kelly Clarkson
  • Will.i.am
  • Mila Kunis
  • Jack Black

Edgy elements: Wrap-arounds or shield-type with bold styling.
Classic cool: Wayfarer-style, “aviators,” cat-eye.
Geometric jazz: Thick, dark in a rectangle or square shape.

The obvious shape to skip for a round-face person is, of course, rounded or circular frames. Oversized or unnecessarily large frames can also add unwanted width to a round face.

Consider the huge range of colour, texture and material when personalizing your specific frames. Offset a simple frame by choosing a bright colour or interesting texture. On the other hand, you can make a bold shape more wearable by sticking with a black, grey or white frame.

The above guide is only a general summary of round faces and their best-suited eyewear shapes. Contact or visit the Vision Gallery for a thorough consultation of your preferences and needs. Our professional and friendly staff is dedicated to helping you find the best frames for your life!
